About UNCAGED

UNCAGED was the very first tournament of its kind in Southwestern Ontario.  UNCAGED brought people of all sexual orientations together; to encourage sometimes distant communities to come out and show their support for equality!  Established in 2014, the inaugural UNCAGED Tournament brought together volleyball players and spectators from London, Toronto, Ottawa, Niagara Falls, and Montreal, with the common goal of raising funds for underprivileged young athletes in the London community.

The coolest thing about UNCAGED was: there were no gender quotas or restrictions at registration!

Athletes don't belong in cages.  As such, players could form their teams on whatever basis they wished: all men, all women, co-ed, or anything in between.  As long as players are 16 years of age or older, you're eligible to register.

Our host for tournament play has historically been Supreme Courts.  At Supreme Courts, players had the opportunity to play on six full-sized, NCAA-quality volleyball courts spread across 19,000 square feet of playing surface.  By hosting UNCAGED in 2014, Supreme Courts themselves became the very first sporting facility in London, Ontario to definitively and publicly declare itself a ‘Safe Space’ for all athletes locally and regionally.  We were excited to return in 2015 and maybe one day again in the near future!
